Website Help
This website is specifically about UK canal holidays. For Europe and Ireland holidays afloat go to our Boating
Holidays website.
These are the stages in using this website:
1. Check out the information in our Canal Holidays Info section
This tells you about canal boats, about the canals, and facts to help you choose. You should be able to draw up a list of requirements for type of boat, size of boat, and length of holiday. You can also look at the Boat Search by Route section for ideas on where to go.
2. Search for a canal boat that meets your requirements
If you know when and where to go then use the Boat Search by Date to find canal boats available when and where
you want to go
If you know which area you wish
to start from then use the Boat Search by Area to find suitable canal boats based in that area (eg around London) and when they are available
If you know the canal route where
you wish to cruise then use the Boat Search by Route to
find all the boats on that route and when they are available
Don't forget that when you see a boat you like you can
click Add to Shortlist. You can review your Shortlist at any time,
and then decide which boat to reserve.
3. Review your Boat Shortlist (and Book)
At any time you can View your Shortlist and
choose a boat to reserve. It is best to put your boats in priority order to help make your booking. To book either complete the e-mail form on your Shortlist or contact us by phone to book.
When you've found a suitable boat book online or ring our Help
Line on 01756 693607 (+44 1756 693607).
4. Create an E-brochure if desired
When you are viewing your Shortlist you can click the Create Personal
E-brochure button. This generates from your shortlist complete details of
the boats, bases and routes on the shortlist. You can e-mail this to family
and friends for discussion, or print it for your own reference.
