Canal Holidays - One Way Routes
Some
routes are offered as one-way, where the boat is collected at one
base and returned to another. Arrangements are made to transport
the crew in the opposite direction. As these routes are operated
by boats doing a shuttle from one end to the other, the direction
of travel depends on previous bookings and is not known until a
week before travel.
Relatively few boats operate one-way routes, so early booking is
advised. Details of boats on these routes can be found by doing
a Search on One Way Routes or any of the Rings or Canals traversed by the route. The
special Route Codes are described below.
One-Way Route Details and Bases
Route
93
Between Bases 14 and 93 via Leeds and the Leeds-Liverpool Canal
Route 94
Between Bases 14 and 94 on the newly re-opened Huddersfield
Canal via the Standedge Tunnel
All the above are energetic one week or leisurely two week routes
suitable for experienced boaters only.
